- Make sure all doors and windows are locked, especially when

force, they simply enter through an open window or door - Fit good quality locks to doors and windows and check the
condition of frames, hinges and glass panels - 58% of burglaries take place in the evening or at night so leave a
light on to give the impression there is someone at home, time switches can
be useful to operate lamps & radios. - A visible burglar alarm will make burglars think twice, those
connected to a monitoring service are best - Never leave spare keys near a door or window, thieves increasingly
steal car & house keys through the letterbox using a hook or magnet.
