HIPs extended to 1 and 2 bed properties

The government has announced that the deadline for the final roll-out of Home Information Packs will be 14th December.

From this date all sellers will need to provide a HIP before they market their properties and provide the pack to potential buyers.

This will be greeted with much enthusiasm and relief from the industry, which has been tirelessly campaigning for HIP’s to be fully extended across the whole market, since their extension to three bedroom homes back in September.

With speculation rife ad various inaccuracies about the impact of HIPs on the market being banded around by the Tories and other anti-HIP groups within the industry, it was essential that the Government reaffirmed its commitment to packs and announced this final and vital implementation.

The packs are legitimately established within the housing marketing and mandatory for all properties before they are put up for sale. Lets make this a workable imitative and help, rather than hinder the revolution in house buying that is long overdue.
