Primecover Features Day One Cover

Day one cover is a fairly simple but often misunderstood extension to the policy. It is basically an inflation protection for the property owner. Instead of requiring the property owner to forecast the effect of inflation at some point in the future (e.g. three years ahead where the rebuilding period for the property is two years) and then penalising any inadequate sum insured by applying average, the day one scheme requires only a correct figure (the Declared Value) for the current reinstatement costs at inception of the policy if the application of average is to be avoided.
