VWF is an industrial disease which results in symptoms of tingling numbness and whiteness (blanching) in the fingers. 

Symptoms are usually caused by constant exposure to vibration in the workplace.  Fingers often lose sensitivity and the whiteness or blanching becomes more obvious in the cold.

Workers most at risk of developing the condition include construction workers, miners and those employed in heavy industry where vibrating equipment is used including, pneumatic drills, hammers and wrenches.
